Timekeeping with CMLA

If you love lacrosse there is no better part-time job than timekeeping. We are looking for boys and girls (born 2009 or earlier) to join our team of timekeepers for the 2023 season. If you are interested please review the below requirements and fill out the application at the bottom of the page. Successful candidates will be contacted by our Timekeeping Assigner for scheduling information.

Experience Required:
Familiarity with game and basic rules of Box Lacrosse

Training:
We will hold a group training session to review the of the scoreboard clock and shot clock. When possible will pair experienced timekeepers with those new to the role.

Locations:
The majority of our games are played at Garnet B. Rickard arena in Bowmanville but we do utilize other arenas within Clarington.

Volunteers
All adult volunteers (turned 18 prior to January 1 of the current playing year) with the Clarington Minor Lacrosse Association are required to have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the past 12 months to volunteer with our association. You will be required to provide a copy to the CMLA Privacy Officer prior to any program participation. A volunteer letter can be provided to receive a discounted price through DRPS (as per Feb 2022, processing time is 5-6 weeks). The Ontario Lacrosse Association has also partnered with Sterling Backcheck to offer an alternate option to obtain your Vulnerable Sector Check, this option is online only and typically you have your form back in 24-48 hours.
